Latest update on Flori.....she has her passport and visa! I think back to when Dr. Conklin called me in the office to tell me that the biopsy showed invasive cervical cancer. I couldn't stop crying at the injustice of it all (I'm sure my next few patients thought I was pretty strange!). Never could I have imagined that we could have brought her here for a potential cure. Then I consider how brave this woman must be. Imagine at the age of 27 finding out that you have cervical cancer and that you have to leave your family and friends AND COUNTRY to have it treated! It is so humbling to think about the fact that she and her family have so much faith in a "gringo" doctor that they know nothing about! Please pray with us that she will arrive safely and that her surgery will be curative.
