5th Grade Added for 2025 School Year!
SewHope's new classroom was completed in early January 2025, giving 20 additional the students the chance to receive a quality education! What began as an after-school reinforcement program on a front porch in 2007 is now an accredited, independent Guatemalan primary school. 162 students, in grades K-5, are being taught a full Guatemalan curriculum by some of the most qualified teachers in Peten. Our students' learning is enhanced with access to personalized, online programs such as Khan Academy and Raz Kids, small group lessons, hands-on agriculture projects on SewHope's property and the opportunity to learn from local professionals about career paths. |
SewHope's ImpactSewHope began in 2007 with a simple but powerful goal - to eliminate cervical cancer in one of the poorest, most remote regions in Guatemala. Every year, our mission reaches thousands of people. In Petén, Guatemala, families are gaining access to the healthcare, education, and opportunities they deserve. Hear their stories and see the impact firsthand.
