250,000 Kids Coalition Against Hunger meals to feed thousands of families
25 mattresses and sheet sets, 540 items of clothing and wheelchairs to provide comfort and
aid to those in need
For several years, SewHope has received critical supplies from Rotary MESA (Medical Equipment and Supplies Abroad Foundation, Inc) whose warehouse is located in Fostoria, Ohio. They have supplied SewHope with donated items such as bookcases, tables, school desks, chairs, mattresses, wheelchairs and countless types of medical supplies, all of which are used on a daily basis in Guatemala. These donations allow SewHope to put our resources into our extensive outreach efforts, daily operations, and securing highly qualified staff.

SewHope sends a container to Guatemala about every two years, with the last one arriving in April of 2022 (watch the video to see the arrival!). This is necessary to replenish the supply of Kids Coalition Against Hunger food, which is used on a daily basis to feed families who live in dire hunger.
The food offers all nine of the essential amino acids required for complete nutrition, something that can’t be said about other typical food relief sources such as rice or beans alone.
