SewHope School is Growing!
What began as an after-school reinforcement program on a front porch in 2007 is now an accredited, independent Guatemalan primary school. 124 students, in grades K-4, are being taught a full Guatemalan curriculum by some of the most qualified teachers in Peten. Our students' learning is enhanced with access to personalized, online programs such as Khan Academy and Raz Kids, small group lessons, hands-on agriculture projects on SewHope's property and the opportunity to learn from local professionals about career paths. In 2025 we will add 5th grade, providing another 20 students the opportunity to receive a quality education, free of charge. |
